Whether you are new to working out, a conditioned athlete or just bored with your gym routine, Tamalpais CrossFit can help you. At Tamalpais CrossFit you will be exposed to new and exciting movements on a daily basis. You will work hard and accomplish things you never thought possible. At Tamalpais CrossFit, proper form is critical. You will be coached through every workout by a CrossFit Certified Coach. The workouts change on a daily basis and can be modified to your level of fitness and ability. Our atmosphere is friendly, encouraging, and motivating. To get started, choose from one of the below options and be on your way to a happier, healthier YOU!
Option #1: Participate in 3 On Ramp Classes
Each On Ramp Class will include in depth instructions and a workout. We will review CrossFit’s 9 foundational movements, Olympic lifting basics, gymnastic basics, rowing and some of our more ballistic movements. During the On Ramp Program we want to get to know you and understand your personal goals, current health, questions/concerns or up and coming competitions. Once we have an understanding of your needs, we will help you achieve your fitness goals.
The 3 On Ramp Classes cost $150. After you have completed your On Ramp Classes and you choose to become a member of Tamalpais CrossFit, the cost of your On Ramp Classes will go toward your first month’s membership to Tamalpais CrossFit. This offer is not available with the month-to-month membership and sign up must be completed on the day of your last On Ramp class.
Option #2: Participate in Private On Ramp Classes
If the scheduled On Ramp Classes do not work for you or if you feel more comfortable in a private session than these classes are just for you! The schedule for these Private On Ramp sessions is based on your and the trainers availability. Each session is one hour long and will cover: CrossFit’s 9 foundational movements, Olympic lifting basics, gymnastic basics, a workout and an assessment of your needs, goals, challenges and strengths. The cost of these 3 Private 1-on-1 sessions is $225. A 2-on-1 option is also available for the cost of $325.
Option #3: Test Out Option
If you have been training at another CF affiliate, or feel that you are skilled and qualified to join our CrossFit Classes, you may be able to forgo the On Ramp Classes we just ask that you demonstrate a basic knowledge and understanding of CrossFit movements during a private session with one of our Coaches. We use this one-hour Test Out session as a way to assess if you have any anatomical deviations, which may inhibit your ability to safely practice CrossFit. The cost of the Test Out session is $75 and will go toward your first month’s membership to Tamalpais CrossFit. This offer is not available with the month-to-month membership and sign up must be completed on the day of your last On Ramp class.

- Julie Upton, MS, RD, CSSD registered dietitian and sports nutritionist will meet with you for 3 one-on-one sessions to assess and develop your personalized diet plan.
- A personalized diet and exercise tracker that is reviewed weekly by Julie Upton.
- Supermarket shopping tour with Upton, if desired.
- Unlimited email access to Julie Upton for duration of program.
Membership Options and Pricing:
- 1 Year Package – $165 per month, unlimited classes
- 6 Month Package – $180 per month, unlimited classes
- Student package – $125 per month, unlimited classes
- Month to Month – $205 per month, unlimited classes
All packages are billed monthly via credit or debit card on file.
