Meet the Tamalpais CrossFit 2012 Regionals Team

Tamalpais CrossFit is sending  a Team to Regionals on May 18th-20th in San Jose, CA. Meet the Team below and come to San Jose to watch some amazing athletes and to support your fellow TCFers!

In No Particular Order…

Tommy Moran

  • How many years have you been CrossFittting? One year of CrossFit
  • What is your favorite CrossFit exercise?  The deadlift
  • What Regional WOD are you most looking forward to? #6 cuz we are going to get there and crush it.
  • Tell us something about you that you we don’t know… I have always wanted to be a treasure hunter!!

Ryan Hutfless

  • How many years have you been CrossFittting? Approx 1.5 years
  • What is your favorite CrossFit exercise? Anything at which I can beat El Torro
  • What Regional WOD are you most looking forward to? All are awesomely exciting and frightening at the same time
  • Tell us something about you that you we don’t know… I can do a mean Hutfless Hustle. “It’s Dance time!”
Chad Wilson
  • How many years have you been CrossFittting? about 4 years
  • What is your favorite CrossFit exercise? Anything with a barbell and heavy weights
  • What Regional WOD are you most looking forward to?  The first one, Partner Deadlift and HSPU
  • Tell us something about you that you we don’t know… I went to West Virgina Wesleyan College for a degree in Exercise Physiology.
Will Barnes
  • How many years have you been CrossFittting? Been CrossFitting for 4 years
  • What is your favorite CrossFit exercise? My favorite move is anything involving a barbell going over my head
  • What Regional WOD are you most looking forward to? #5, the Snatch Ladder
  • Tell us something about you that you we don’t know… I used to be a fat guy

Sarah Poser

  • How many years have you been CrossFittting? I’ve been CrossFitting since July 2011 (so, 9 months).  Before that a runner, before that a college swimmer (UCSB… go Gauchos)!
  • What is your favorite CrossFit exercise? My favorite CrossFit exercise is the deadlift, also the snatch but I haven’t quite mastered that one!
  • What Regional WOD are you most looking forward to? I’m most looking forward to the partner deadlift/hspu wod at Regionals.
  • Tell us something about you that you we don’t know… I have three kiddos under the age of 5!  The youngest is a girl and the first girl in the Poser family line since 1863.

Joelle Amundsen

  • How many years have you been CrossFittting?  I’ve been doing crossfit for 2yrs now and still love every minute of it.
  • What is your favorite CrossFit exercise?  pull ups
  • What Regional WOD are you most looking forward to?  team event 4
  • Tell us something about you that you we don’t know… I have an identical twin sister.

Melissa Hutfless

  • How many years have you been CrossFittting? About 1 1/2
  • What is your favorite CrossFit exercise? Hand Stand Push Ups
  • What Regional WOD are you most looking forward to? #6…. Because we have to do #6 to get to the Games!
  • Tell us something about you that you we don’t know… I enjoy nightly “Dance Time”

Meshelle Mifsud

  • How many years have you been CrossFittting?  about 4
  • What is your favorite CrossFit exercise? The Snatch
  • What Regional WOD are you most looking forward to? That’s a tough one… I think all of them because I am so excited that we are participating but if I had to choose one, it would be #3, the Dumbbell Snatch because Chad and I get to do it together.
  • Tell us something about you that you we don’t know… I use to want to be a race car driver
